Amit Singhal announced to resign from Google Search business

Amit Singhal, chief executive announced he would leave Google Search business soon on Wednesday.

He has been working for Google for 15 years. Singhal posted blog on Google Plus that he will spend much time in charitable career after his resignation. His resignation will take effect from Feb. 26.

Singhal addressed that it was time for him to make life adjustment. Everything goes well. Google Search business performs stronger. Google Search business will make a great success under the leadership of some excellent officers.

Singhal joined Google in 2000. He was awarded as the Google Fellow as he had been working with Google Search algorithm and related work.

He was responsible for running a team that adjusted and improved the manners of working for Google Search business.

His post will be taken over by John Giannandrea when the resignation takes effect. Giannandrea is an officer that specializes in search and machine learning . He is famous for leading the launch of Knowlege Graph. Knowledge Graph is some information toolbar to help the users to avoid clicking any possible links that might show up in the right offside of screen when they search the certain content.

His announcement is about 6 months after Larry Page appointed Sundar Pichai as Google’s new CEO.
