Microsoft launches Office UI Fabric that designs add-ins for Office

Microsoft had announced the release of Office UI Fabric content on GitHub on September 1st. Microsoft claimed that Office UI Fabric is a responsive frame, mobile fistand front-end app for developers. Office UI Fabric aims at helping the performance of creating web experiences using the Office Design Language. With this new content, you can create a new app from scratch or adding new features to an existing one in a simple and handy way.

Microsoft spokesperson also implied that users can apply simple CSS style includes typography, color, icons, animations, responsive grid layouts and localization to make their web applications look like the rest of Office.

This framework was used in Office 365 and other products previously, for examples, its suite branding, OneDrive.com, Outlook.com Delve and Video Portal. Office UI Fabric also brings specific details for Office UX Design Guidelines.

Microsoft has been working on the improvements its Office Add-ins, SharePoint Add-ins and even its separate site functionality. If it works, users can apply those features of Office UI Fabric from the App Launcher. And the Detailed Persona Card of Office UI Fabric can be converted into a bound control.
