Apple Watch was made to give a sale hit to its rivals like Fitbit since it has been launching. However, the statistics indicate that Apple Watch’s sale is not as well as it expected.
Report from Bloomberg, it stated that the statistics from market analyst Slice show that Cupertino firm’s wearable can not reach the sales of Fitbit trackers. It is obviously that Fitbit attracts more users.
It is reported that 850,000 units of Fitbit trackers were sold in the United States during May, while Apple watches came with 777,000 units.
Fitbit has seven devices on the market at different price points, but the Apple Watch was confident to make a big sale to win more market share. The results turned out, Apple Watch is still behind Fitbit on sales.
Even though Apple Watch wants to win, the figures suggest that its wish has not come true yet. From the figures, there are only 4.8% of Fitbit owners buying an Apple Watch. It takes time to prove its product performance.
At the moment, Fitbit takes up a 68 % share of the fitness tracker market and it becomes a very popular device on Wall Street recently.
